Morocco: visions of a revolution in progress

AISSAOUI By Hind Bennani, 02/25/2011
To better understand the demands of the young Moroccan Morocco of Mohammed VI, I met Omar Radi Aziz El Yaakoubi, Souad Guennoun Dadssi and Hind, for some journalists and anti-globalization activists to others. Cross talk in Casablanca on Wednesday February 16.
When I arrived in Casablanca, January 20, 2011, Ben Ali had fallen under popular pressure. The world had taken a lesson in rejection of oppression and organization collective. Simple surgical and unexpected, this event would inspire others. On 11 February, Mubarak fell after 33 years in power. Even today, while in Bahrain, Libya and Jordan, despite fierce repression of the archaic, people are fighting to wrest their most basic rights, young Moroccans are preparing a day of protest. The "movement of 20 February" is running to demand change. Morocco has a rather positive image in France. It is, in the imagination of many of us, a country where life is good, where power is certainly strong, but benevolent with his subjects.
Omar and Aziz, I saw you speak at a panel discussion on political violence in the Maghreb in the new school governance in Rabat. You were well put together. Yet to read the Moroccan press, Morocco is a reference to the region in terms of democracy and to read the French press, here we practice a moderate Islam. So, why you spit in the soup like this?
Omar Radi : In Morocco, not only the social is catastrophic, but there is a total absence of democratic rules, both at the state level than in the private sector. And the press is no exception. I can not speak for the French press, but I can say that the Moroccan press can not in any way reflect or translate what is really happening here. And what happens here, it looks exactly like the revolutions that have revealed Tunisian and Egyptian companies.
Aziz El Yaakoubi: I would add that the problem is the Moroccan political system based on a completely sacredness absurd. It derives its primary legitimacy of religion since the king is the commander of the believers and represents God on earth. This allows a diversion on the responsibility of power, whose legitimacy can not be questioned.
But I thought that Mohammed VI was better than his father ... He has made improvements, right?
GOLD : What is fundamentally different between the father and son is the method. Under Hassan II, the methods were direct and frontal. Mohammed VI has rather focused on psychological factors, including marketing by giving the famous image of "King of the Poor" at the beginning of his reign. He immediately passed to the king of good will, and maintains the idea of a rotten system that would cause problems in Morocco. But the reality is that the predation of royal business is enormous and we are moving back squarely to the methods of Hassan II in terms of repression, censorship, etc.. At the beginning of the reign of M6, there was an attempt to return to the past and the years of lead. But again we were in marketing. For proof, non-implementation of the recommendations of the Equity and Reconciliation Commission. The sole recommendation of this process has been applied is a monetary compensation of victims' families. None of the other promises of the plan has been held, although they were minimal. There were no fundamental questioning or punishment of crimes committed, especially in financial matters, and monopoly on land and real estate. There were huge holdups in Morocco! And there continues to be under the direct control of Mohammed VI. But nobody talks about it. We can not speak of democratization without going into details precisely.
AEY: The opening took place in Morocco was initiated in the reign of Hassan II. In the late 80s, all third world countries who benefited from the east-west duality have been obliged to undertake reforms. It started in Morocco by the release of political prisoners. But this was just a front transitional justice, as everything related to democracy in this country. At the same time, there has been the establishment of regulatory agencies, which contributed actively to liberalize the economy. The hand-setting power over the economy that was not reinforced. And that's exactly the same logic that continues. There is no difference between father and son. Moreover, and this is what is most important, the texts have not changed. The constitution is still the same as under Hassan II, the death penalty is still in force ...
Souad Guennoun: To understand the situation, especially from abroad, we must specify two or three things. Morocco has undergone colonization "soft", so-called protectorate. Lyautey, monarchist, has maintained power in place but pulled the strings. Throughout history, France has legitimized the power in Morocco in making him a picture. I remember at the funeral of Hassan II, Frederic Mitterrand praised the beauty of the protocol. This sort of fascination for the Moroccan monarchy gives him a deep cultural and traditional dimension in our history, when the monarchy was at its worst moment of colonization. And this method was effective. It is also no coincidence that the Americans were inspired Lyautey for what they are doing in Iraq ...
The other very important thing is that Mohammed VI arrived at a crossroads of globalization. In 1999, he replaced his father with new tools. He joined the elite, even more than his father ever did. And that elite has benefited from privatization and it is damn full pockets. The scheme is not only despotic but he also surfed the wave of globalization.
From a geostrategic point of view, we must also understand that Americans rely also on the Moroccan authorities. With its policy of "Greater Middle East" and the war in Iraq, the United States consider Morocco as one of their strongholds, including a military standpoint and in terms of outsourcing torture.
is said that the Moroccan people is not ready for democracy, it is less "educated" that the Tunisian people ...
AEY : Democracy, everyone deserves it, even the illiterate. This speech on the maturity should not even exist. Education, she promotes the ability to revolt. While democracy, it is deserved by everyone.
Hind Dadssi: On the issue of education, it must still clear that there was a deterioration of public education. Until the 80s, public education was quality. Our parents had a very good standard when they came out of the tray. The deterioration of public education is directly related to the first structural adjustment programs of the IMF.
SG: Personally, I filmed many social movements which no media is talking about. I filmed miners, workers in textiles, agriculture, the struggle Sidna IFIN in 2008, etc.. I went to areas where there is nothing, no infrastructure, no housing, no cinema. Nothing! There are young people with nothing before them. So they spend their time before the internet. I'm sure it is in these little villages that the potential of the Internet revolution is the strongest. TV is crap, no radio, the press does not talk. That's how the depths of these little villages, young people themselves are made by defiance against the society that represents them absolutely not. For comparison, we could compare them to European No Vox.
O. R . : Actually, since the events in Tunisia and Egypt, we have gone from the exception to the exception Moroccan Arabic (Laughter). Before, in what they call the Arab world, they said that what happened could not happen to geopolitical considerations. Now the myth has been broken. As it had affected only the republics, it has developed the myth of the exception Moroccan saying that Morocco is a monarchy which dates back four centuries, it is the most stable country in the region, etc.. All this is rubbish!
SG: Moreover, now it moves to Bahrain, which is a monarchy! Proof that these are the same effects which produce the same causes.
GOLD: Absolutely. By cons, if we must speak except Moroccan call by its proper name: the economy of the rent. In Morocco, when the king goes somewhere, it brings people screaming the words follows: "God gives the luck to our Lord" (yuck i fi llah Sidna amr). And this expression has no free lunch, there is a return! Morocco is the only country where it distributes approvals of activities generating income for entire sectors of the economy, taxis, parking, transportation, fishing, ... I also believe that most Moroccan artists benefit. While these activities should be tender, they are distributed as approvals by the king's entourage. It was therefore a socio-economic status, which it buys silence and does not even address the principle of meritocracy, it is also questionable. The whole economy is born with the king. He who dares suggest otherwise can see his work destroyed overnight. The problem is that these people are supposed to form a middle class or middle class, to use terminology liberal, and thus represent an opinion. While most of the time, the voice of change comes from the middle class, any attempt to represent its interests is reduced to zero. Moroccan society, so it's a middle class purchased, many rich and more poor. And the poor have no choice but to fight for survival.
SG: Let me add something important about this concept except Morocco. Morocco is a country where civil society has been the most tested. About women, youth, neighborhood associations, etc.. To the detriment of political parties that were in decline. There was a lot of money injected into the civil society.
The most obvious example is that of feminism. is one of the sectors that was really the most funded, so that they are no longer people, activists, pose the debate. It is an invented feminism held by money, by patronesses with their secretariats, offices, etc.. And it is they who are invited to speak internationally on behalf of women, although they do not even know. One can ask questions about what feminism is! And that these are things that have involved the fact that in France, Morocco has the image of the most advanced country in the region on women's issues.
You'll see that if called to cons events, these feminist groups take to the streets to support the government.
So what are you proposing? By which to begin the change? What are the priorities?
SG: For me, outside the Moroccan problem, the urgency is at the regional level. Since 1975, we have a big problem with this history of the Sahara and borders. At this time, the Algerian people are trying to move too. So we should take the opportunity to focus our struggles, especially for work. During
years it has funded a war to kill people who were seeking self-determination, instead of collaborating to build a complementary economy. And it is time now that the question of borders. This region must be unified, united, socialist, republican, with young people who are at the forefront of struggles. As a priority, we must stop the jingoism. Otherwise, we will all be crushed. Today, we have nothing to lose. It's now or never. We need to make bridges, not at the level Maghreb. The people have the same aspirations in Morocco, Algeria, Latin America.
emancipation of peoples, food sovereignty, recognition of local identities: our demands are the same. And our problems are the same! Our agriculture is plundered, our waters are bottled by the same multinationals, our land is purchased, one after the other ... It is urgent to build bridges. Moreover, the questions that the struggle of Sidi Ifni raised well above the setting of a small fishing village. She posed for global issues. Sidi Ifni Sidi could be Bouzid Morocco. It was a fight for another world. This is not a slogan made by intellectuals, these are claims made by those who are not entitled to speak.
But what do you do the propaganda that we suffered for years and the idea that the King of Morocco is a victim, as well as the people, the rotten system?
GOLD: When you are in a regime of terror, we say "long live the regime." When we remove this terror, people end up speaking. And we feel at this moment in the street. An anecdote to illustrate all this.
Yesterday, a taxi driver told me that if it was just the system that was rotten, the king could eradicate this system. These things do not say so directly before.
AE Y . : One can not deny that there is room ignorance, fed by propaganda. But is that Moroccans know that most African bank (Attijari Wafabank) belongs to the king? Nobody knows it's King who pulls all the strings of the Moroccan economy. Nobody knows that the king is one of greatest royal fortunes in the world. must conduct outreach work, because people change their minds when they learn that whole sectors of the economy owned. It is beginning to talk about the royal fortune on Facebook.
The Tunisian and Egyptian revolutions are they afraid of the Moroccan regime?
GOLD: To put it bluntly, contagion is a fact, and the Moroccan regime is scared. Once there was this call for February 20, a crisis has occurred between the ministries of interior, foreign affairs and the Moroccan secret service. On his Facebook page, the Minister of Youth and Sports conducted a smear campaign against youth movement in the Feb. 20 calling them traitors to the nation and members of the Polisario.
Yesterday, it happened something extraordinary. The Moroccan government has taken two big steps. It has injected 15 billion dirhams into the compensation fund. This fund allows the state to fund the maintenance of prices of essential commodities at a relatively low price for sale. What is funny, is that in June 2010, the authority had refused to inject 10 billion dirhams in this case by explaining that in any event, it had to be reformed because it is too bulky for money. The second step taken yesterday, 10% of the state budget that will be made to recruit people in the public, particularly among unemployed graduates. This is a historic step!
We also know that for 3 days, moqqaddem, who are the representatives of the power distributing land to slum dwellers from Casablanca. Power and his servants do not speak more than Moroccan, there he act! They take initiatives to respond to demands unheeded past ten years, under the pressure of a call made by young people in social networks.
The Moroccan regime is at an impasse. There is no better off than Mubarak or Ben Ali. It is even worse off than Mubarak against the great powers. If this protest has a long breath, I think we will cross the threshold of fear of the regime and that the consciousness of the necessity of the struggle will be even stronger.
You speak of movement of 20 February ?
AEY : The "20 February" is an initiative that was launched on the internet by young apolitisés who are between 20 and 24. They started streaming videos on the internet to request the change of the constitution and establishing a democracy in Morocco. Several unions have announced their participation, but also the overwhelming majority of organizations of Human Rights (MAHR which, the largest association of its kind in Africa) and the Adl wa Ihsan, the Islamist movement the most important. And what is very interesting is that the Democratic Confederation of Labour, the second trade union in the country, talking about a general strike on 21 and 22. February.
GOLD : Although we can not really predict, I think the surprise could come from small towns and Rabat. Now that I know is that the Ministry of Education has given several days to high school and college students are mobilizing to prevent them. But they still do not understand is that if students are not in high school, they are on Facebook. Teachers' unions say that all students, even those who are not on Facebook, speak of 20 February. It's huge! If pro-government thugs out of 20 February, and if there is confrontation, if only one person is wounded among us, it will be the permanent mobilization.
Thank you, friends. Good fight!
SG : I would like to add a message all peculiar to France . This movement is a groundswell, it will not stop tomorrow. Those who exploit us are the same everywhere and they will not let go so easily. We must call for solidarity and everyone should support us. If it fails, the backlash is going to take it all in the face, and even France! If in France you do not support us, it will be severe, and for us and for you.

Arab Revolutions: Morocco is an exception? Burns

Buoyed by the momentum of Tunisian and Egyptian leaders have overthrown dictators and autocrats and the systems up by the latter, a protest is popular in Morocco (where all the ingredients for a serious challenge: poverty, social inequality, massive youth unemployment, corruption, lack of democracy, etc..) demand a change in depth of the constitution and begin a new political era. The Moroccan authorities responded that the situation is different because the process "irreversible" democratization is underway and that freedom of expression exists with the exception of three taboos: the monarchy, religion and the Sahara. In reality, behind an appearance of democracy, the Moroccan political system is an autocratic monarchy that directs and controls almost everything.

DEMOCRACY FOR CRANE
To say that Morocco has embarked on a democratic process, more decoys are emphasized. Firstly, the constitution of 1996 (passed by referendum with a yes to more than 99%!) says that "Morocco is a constitutional monarchy, democratic and social" and that citizens have freedom of opinion and expression, subject limitations imposed by law! Then he set before the last parliamentary elections were free. The election results broadly correspond to the votes actually cast and the parties fielded candidates generally they wanted. Moreover, it is claimed that Morocco has a multiparty system since independence. Finally, many newspapers are published and several radio stations broadcast. Thus, the main criteria for democracy are met and enable public authorities to say that Morocco has embarked on a process of democratization. But behind this appearance, hiding the operation of a scheme rather authoritarian. While it is not North Korea or Libya, but the power is exercised by one man, the king, assisted by advisers, more or less influential and enlightened. We can criticize the government, parliamentarians, local elected officials and prefects, but it is better to prohibit any criticism of the king!
The king reigns and governs alone. After the constitution, he is the head of state, armies and believers. Thus, as commanders of the believers that have virtually all political power, this Constitution establishes a monarchy by divine right. In addition, by the constitution, it has a very broad power of appointment: he appoints and dismisses the discretion freely and Prime Minister and ministers, ambassadors, W alis and governors (prefects) directors of public institutions and administrative authorities, etc.. A little close, he appoints who he wants when he wants and he wants to post! It can dissolve and discretion freely each meeting of parliament. He promulgates laws and may request reconsideration of a bill.
Beyond political terrain, the monarchy took the economic field. Through a holding company it controls, the Omnium North Africa (ONA), the king, and the wider royal family, controls many enterprises (Wana, the country's third mobile operator, Attijariwafa , Morocco's largest bank and seventh in Africa, etc..). ONA is also involved in other sectors (food, insurance, real estate, distribution: the Peugeot and Citroen are marketed through a company controlled by the NFA which is also a shareholder of Lafarge Morocco ). Thus, with ONA, Attijariwafa Bank and Caisse des Depots (whose director is appointed by the king), a significant portion of the economy is controlled by the palace.
LEGITIMACY OF THE KING IS BEYOND DISPUTE
After the constitution, the king's person is "sacred and inviolable" and no member of parliament can not re- because the monarchy or to affect the "respect for the King." Thus, any criticism of acts, gestures or words of the king and the royal family is prohibited. Beyond this indisputable legitimacy, system organized by the palace prevents cons-power, by discrediting the political and justice and controlling the media. Political parties do not really fulfill their role of establishing social projects, to structure the political debate, campaign and oppose the government for those who are a minority. The vast majority of them, with their leaders, are compromised in the system imposed by the king. Indeed, the absence of the majority party in parliament (the first party has about 50 members for a meeting of over 300 MPs), that seven parties are represented in government, former communists, the Conservatives, to the Socialists.
past fifteen years, all governments are "compounds" of representatives of several parties, left and right. The objective is to engage, or compromise, the more possible for parties they do not constitute an opposition alternative to the policies pursued. This is divide and conquer. Also has disrepute because the historical opposition parties - the Party of Istiqlal and l'Union Socialist Popular Forces (USFP) - and their leaders have become faithful servants of the king. These parties, who were in opposition against Hassan II for over thirty years, agreed in 1997 to form a coalition government with the conditions laid down by him, the same as they were denied four years ago. They have since participated in all governments becoming the guarantor of the system (despite internal divisions, including the USFP)!
Moreover, many (not all) politicians do not pursue a political commitment and conviction, but a career and personal interests. Some have close links with influential advisers of the king and are suspected of taking their instructions from the palace, before acting in their party. The conditions under which was formed this government illustrate this: the figures were chosen to enter, not because they belong to a political party, but thanks to their proximity to some of the king's advisers. It was then dressed politically by making them join two or three days before the announcement of the composition of government, political party, to affirm that this government is the result of the political game "natural" and the result of elections.
SUSPICIONS OF CORRUPTION
The discrediting finally explained by the fact that politicians and the government does not choose the policy. Policy orientations and major projects are determined by the palace and the government executes the "royal directives. A democracy can not be run and that if justice is independent, if the law applies to all equally and that justice is done without favoritism. In Morocco, it is not always the case. It is not uncommon to read in the press that criminal proceedings are initiated by a prosecutor after the king's anger against this or as clerk in the state whose king suspect (because it blew him in the ear) dishonesty. Curiously, the machinery of justice is more difficult to engage independently of the king or his advisers. More generally, the entire judiciary is discredited by allegations of corruption.
The existence of several newspapers, radio and TV channels gives the illusion of pluralism. Do not be deceived: if in the early 2000s, these media have initiated an early outspoken, revealing and denouncing the years of lead time Hassan II, they paid the price for their "audacity". Today, no media ventures to criticize the decisions and words of the king or his closest advisers. Bullying is by the prosecution of these media in "dictating" penalties of heavy fines against those newspapers to asphyxiate them financially. Other methods are used: freezing of bank accounts, seizure of equipment working, ruling barring exercise of the journalistic profession, etc.. And call the various advertisers to dissuade them from their ads in these newspapers . Some of their founders were forced to leave the profession and Morocco. Today the media are tightly controlled and any change of language is sanctioned!
In conclusion, a primarily concentrated power in the hands of one man who has no accountability to anyone, a political class and a discredited judiciary and press locked. Here is the reality of "democracy" in Morocco. Talking about the democratic process is not very serious! It is in the interest of the monarchy to listen to the current dispute and agree that the constitution is substantially reformed so that the king reigns supreme governing. The monarchy would show that she understood the meaning of events and history. Juan Carlos had understood in 1975.

despise it AU?

William Burns telling us that from Rabat the Moroccan proposal for autonomy is the best invention of man after the holidays to Marrakech. Yet he knows that this proposal continues to be rejected by the Saharawi people who do wants to be the subject of person who wants too, its freedom and independence, as all peoples of the Maghreb and beyond. Burns does not realize that the Saharawi people is separate from the Sahara Moroccan people and that the two nationalisms compete continuously, as evidenced by the tragedy of Gdeim Izik and, more recently, "ratonnade" launched by the settlers Moroccan Sahrawi cons neighborhoods in Dakhla and was even more destructive. Burns he reject peace plans Africa-UN on Western Sahara?

"The only real solution (to the conflict in Western Sahara) through the organization of a self-determination referendum, said the Commissioner for Political Affairs of the African Union Commission, Mrs. Julia Dolly Joiner, last Sunday at Tifariti. And it is in the Saharawi territory Tifariti, and it is not controlled by Morocco. Services Vital kingdom have never issued a birth certificate, death or burial permit. As in the rest of the Saharawi territories before their invasion in 1975. Details that prove that the Western Sahara, Morocco is now an undue occupant. Burns does not seem to reflect not the words of Ban Ki-moon when he urged last Thursday, the international community to end "immediately and completely" with the enduring décolonialisation in 16 Territories around the world, including Western Sahara.

From New York, Loulichki Mohamed, Permanent Representative of Morocco to UN, then we spoke of a self-exerted "case by case basis." A formula as clear as that provided to us to explain to Algiers "marches are not banned but are not allowed." The Polisario congress will decide before the end of 2011 "ideas and strategies to achieve the same objective sacred, "said the Saharawi president. A far as we know, the goal is not sacred autonomy.

Dakhla Festival occupation and colonial violence in February 2011

Dakhla is a city in occupied Western Sahara by Morocco. The Saharawi ask their right to self-determination for decades. Morocco continues its colonization, put away the Saharawi people and punishes very severely militants (imprisonment, torture, murder). Dakhla Festival, sporting events and music "under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohamed VI," part of this colonial policy.
artists and athletes who come to Dakhla festival, this celebration of the authority of Morocco on Western Sahara, are complicit.
This year occur among those known by the French, the artists:
- Yvan Bolloc'h
- Johnny Clegg
- Alpha Blondy
You can tell them what you think by following the links.
many international surfers are also present.
Radio Nova, which also celebrates the week-colonial, is a partner of the festival.
Also, the third day of the festival, Saturday, February 26, 2011, thousands of Moroccan settlers ransacked houses and shops burned and Sahrawi their cars, with the support of the Moroccan armed forces.
Surfing and Music serve here barbarism. The names of those who work in these crimes remain engraved.

Morocco: Generation MDR

Dear Amine,
This is a letter I address to you, my friend, to tell you the contempt I have for your fellow, since I had the unfortunate idea to discuss with your pettiness of political news. I am writing to you because I have neither the time nor the resources to mount a secret organization that would deal with the mass sterilization of willing slaves, thus limiting the spread of bullshit. So I write for my revenge.
I see you on Facebook, liker We love MOROCCO and Her Majesty may God preserve him Allah Alwatan Almalik , or Stay home on February 20 is a proof of love to His Majesty . Sometimes you publish a video of Tariq Ramadan, with the comment "hhhhhhh" . Often you quote Hassan II, as being a great man. Do you know that by doing this you defend crimes committed by that horrible man? yes but he did other things for our country, and he protected against division , you answer me, air fundamentally stupid.
In real life, your next level shit, your words are an ode to stupidity and bullshit. You never give in, you never change your point of view, you never leave me an original idea. I can predict what you will say, I can read the dispatches of the MAP, or in chronic Nini. You are predictable because you are exactly as one would like thou art: subject and shabby.
Generation 10 000
You have studied. At least you think. You're setting somewhere, with some responsibilities that you think considerable. You'll talk all day long thinking impress me. You read a book or two, and editing before yesterday Today Morocco, you think by that you become educated and aware of current events. You consider your countrymen with disdain who have not had the chance or the guts to do the minimum school as you did. So you think you're allowed to say that Moroccans are savages, they do not deserve a democracy in the Swedish, and you give me an example Abdelouahed young worker at the SMIC, which does not even speak French you say, and wearing sunglasses ridiculously false. Your meanness always impresses me.
However, reading these lines, you do not feel concerned, because last week you took a Bissara with the children of people in a neighborhood. You know the people, told me you, sure of yourself.
With your monthly 10,000 bales you will attend this concert, or go to this nightclub, or wear shoes I do not know what brand. You think you've succeeded and that, therefore , Morocco has developed. Only, do not you not happy, you want to tell me your life, thereby abusing my sympathy and my good nature. Poor me.
MDR Generation:
What bothers me when the flood of nonsense your faces in my ears, he wished to enter despite the refusal of my brain is that your intellect is absolutely not capable of understanding the foundations of rational thought. Your arguments are not only very WTF, but also and above all, very annoying.
To prove that Morocco has made great progress you ask me to look around me, projects that His Majesty took the extreme kindness and goodness to bestow upon us. Ah, ingrate that I am the King invested my money without asking my opinion, and I opposed the idea of development, I refuse to acknowledge his generous charity. My bad!
To formally prove that you're stupid, you say that Moroccans love their king, that is a whole history, that the Sahara is Moroccan, Algerian that would do us harm with Using English. If I'm not happy, I tell you, I just go somewhere else, you let your Morocco alone. Because people here are happy and they troubleshoot over time. You see, when we translate your phrases ( bnadem dima m3a m3addi lwa9t Bikha w), the stupidity inherent in your person broke into the open. Do you feel ridiculous now? I'm afraid not.
To drive the point home, your rubbish may achieve the ultimate heights of stupidity. You say that Morocco is not Sweden. You tell me that the Moroccans, my countrymen, are unworthy of freedom. You tell me we're not ready. You even say sometimes that you regret the time of Driss Basri. I am so shocked that I can not answer. You think you've won the debate, and proved your point of view.
You're happy. I despise you.
After February 20 you did a tack intellectual who genuinely left me speechless. I underestimated your stupidity, I thought so well known.
You started by saying that Morocco is Tunisia. Then that Morocco is neither Tunisia nor Egypt. Then that Morocco is neither Tunisia nor Egypt, or Libya. Suddenly you began to say that young people from 20 February belong to the Polisario. Shortly after, you began to tell me about evolution, not revolution, when you heard Hicham El Alaoui speak at Calvi. Then the prince turned into enemies of the nation when he said he had high regard for these kids.
In short, you t'opposais the very principle of a demonstration. How dare you?
After February 20 you still have changed their tune, followed the crowd, shared videos vandalized with comments could not be more disgusting. You have concluded, again, that Moroccans were unworthy of liberty. From my part, I sincerely believe that you are unworthy of the intellect whose mother nature rewarded thee.
I regret having raised this issue with your baseness. I had some semblance of respect for you.
Tomorrow I meet you at the bar. I will remain polite, but I know it very painful.

To get out of colonialism!

Saturday, February 26, 2011
Demonstration in Paris Republic Square at 15 am against war, racism, xenophobia State
- Gathering at Rennes 15 pm Town Hall Square.
50 years ago, the colonial empires were collapsing at that time. Patrice Lumumba was assassinated in the Congo and hundreds of Algerian workers were to be drowned in the Seine, thrown by the French police prefect Maurice Papon, because they dare to demonstrate peacefully for the independence of Algeria.
50 years later, a new colonial order is reorganized:
Speeches colonialists on "African man" and on the positive aspects of colonization positive, the debate over national identity, anti-immigrant campaigns, xenophobic racist, Islamophobic and negrophobia, Swiss referendum on minarets double jeopardy, is preparing a war of civilization that does not say his name and take the immigrants and peoples of the south as scapegoats of financial globalization and the crisis.
Malgré des condamnations répétées pour crime de guerre, Israél poursuit cette politique brutale et dépossède et étouffe the Palestinian people ... unmolested by the authorities of France, the EU or U.S..
In Western Sahara, Chechnya, Kurdistan, Sri Lanka, Western Sahara ... people are fighting for the right to self-determination against colonialism and for the defense of their political, cultural and social.
In Latin America, the peoples and governments are fighting to defend their sovereignty and rights, the embargo against Cuba, in defense of indigenous peoples.
In Africa, Asia or Latin America, payment of the debt and its interest is used to strangle the states and peoples while the policy of the IMF, the World Bank and WTO organize against the austerity budgets and privatization of social common goods and services public. Millions of hectares of land is appropriated, colonized by large multinational companies. Taking advantage of the economic crisis and climate biopiracy installed by large groups exploiting biodiversity resources.
The consequences of colonialism are ever present:
In Africa, cell in the Elysee pilot networks Françafrique who impose their law for the benefit of companies such as Total, Bollore, EDF, Bouygues, Areva or Veolia. The French military bases in Djibouti, located in Central or support dictators in the region.
In the last French colony called "overseas territories", the inequality imposed by the colonial situation leads revolts as Martinique and Guadeloupe, where the LKP still requires the implementation of agreements reached General Strike of 2009. In Kanaky, the question of independence is raised for 2014 while the Comoros in accordance with international law require the return of Mayotte in their midst.
In France the crackdown against undocumented workers has a exploitable labor to thank you each year while anti-immigrant laws criminalize foreigners whether seeking asylum or are fleeing the misery of their country of origin. Income neighborhoods are subject to police action that takes more character occupancy flush-facies, multiply identity checks, curfew for young people.
However, through our joint actions, we reduce the power. He has already deleted article 4 of the colonial legislation of 23 February 2005. We have also set back by demanding and obtaining the abolition of the Ministry of Immigration. We must now end the xenophobia of state based on the concept of national identity and uses racism, Islamophobia or negrophobia.
Faced with this new colonial order, we call in the framework of the 6th Week "anticolonial" in a large demonstration against war, racism and colonialism.
All and All in the street on February 26 to 15 H to show our rejection of war, militarization and colonialism, to obtain the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, calling for a world of respect for human rights all, a world of peace!
All and All in the streets to fight against colonialism and occupation, for the right to self-determination, respect for national rights and human rights, Palestinian, Sahrawi, Chechens, Kurds, Tamils. ..
All and All in the street to the unconditional cancellation of debt, against the recolonization of the land policies of the IMF, the World Bank and WTO, to fight against impunity and financial crime and the use of tax havens , and for access for all and all for food, water, health, education, employment, housing, and justice.
All and All in the streets to say no to French Africa and the colonial territories in addition to the Wed closure of French military bases in Africa and stopping the French military and police aid to dictators in the guise of Official Development Assistance.
All and All in the streets to reject xenophobia and racism of State for the legalization of all undocumented, freedom of movement for equal rights and against all discrimination. All together out of colonialism!

The king of Morocco is both Zapatero and Rouco Varela Botin. My

He proved his firm faith in freedom of expression. He been in prison for daring to make a caricature of King Mohammed and for writing about the Sahrawi refugees against the regime's line.

journalist Ali Lmrabet (Tetouan, 1956) is among those who do not taient. He was in prison and he had a hunger strike for their rights and defendere that of the Moroccan people, freedom to speak, even if it is against the King Mohamed VI. Now he sees amazed as tens of thousands of people dare to go out into the street and criticize the king and his regime. He knows that rebellion is underway and there is no turning back. Yesterday he gave a lecture at Palma IniciativaVerds invited.

- The title of the conference: "What happens to the democratic uprisings in the Arab countries?

- I'm very surprised this is happening. In the Arab world, we knew touours democracy was coming, but not with that speed. The most important message is that people are fed up. The Arab people are like you and want freedom you have. These revolutions are, in addition, the end of the myth manufactured the West says that these dictators are unpresentable but both are the best way to contain Islamism. We realized a wonderful thing: the people, Young, in its purest form, that rise to ask for something that is normal for you but for us is extraordinary: freedom, equality and democracy.

- In your opinion, what will happen in Morocco?

- Some say that Morocco will be the exception. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trinidad Jimenez, once said something and another day "said another. Without going further, she said that the event happened in Morocco with "democratic normalcy." If she thinks that Morocco is a democracy, well, this is the second most important discovery after that of America. Arab countries are not equal and the revolt will not have the same characteristics, but we share the language and problems, be they rich or poor.

- Do they seek to depose the king or evolutionary to a monarchy like that of Spain?

- Me, I support the protest but I am not in the organization, even if the government and some groups say. Young people who came out to protest the 20-F said they had no nproblème with the king, but with the monarchy and want to go from an absolute monarchy to a monarchy Parlamentary. I think there is a problem then with the king, because he is the absolute monarch, Mohamed VI. He now has an extraordinary opportunity to transform the parliamentary monarchy. But I think he did not hear the message because he said that those were taken to the streets of demagoguery. Unfortunately, the King of Morocco reign, govern, he is the commander of the faithful and the country's largest contractor; Mohamed VI is both King Juan Carlos Rodriguez Zapatero, Rouco Varela and Botin. This is not normal and it should say in a peaceful manner. We ask only that you have. We have no social security, I live with my phone tapped the 24 hours, which can live like this? Few people.

- In the case of Morocco, Spain positions itself does a manner different than the rest of the revolts? "I advise

Spain's neutrality and that it leans more on its economic problems as problems of Morocco. When I hear Zapatero said that Morocco is an exception, I think "ah, that's amazing!". But it is not an exception. I would not say that the revolt will take place tomorrow, but the seeds of rebellion, democratic and not Islamist, are there, and sooner or later we will have a democratic country.

- Why did the PSOE recriminates nothing in Morocco?

- For Intrets economy. Spain is the second investor in Morocco after France. And there is the blackmail that Morocco to Spain with the subject of immigration. Morocco is a police state and can stop the flow of immigration into Europe so police and if he wants, he can let these people go. Spain has this fear. But Morocco is not a saint and Spain do not critique, criticize it should from time to time.

-European media, how do they communicate what is happening?

In Europe, there are important media to minimize what is happening. I recall a demonstration in Egypt a few years ago with 300 persons, was a success. In Tunisia, all 1,2,3 began with people. And in Morocco we had a very important event, and without the Islamists who do not get involved. The Islamist Justice and Spirituality are the association that can bring together as many people and they do not get involved. And now, the newspapers say there were only a thousand people. The king said he would not succumb to demagoguery, but Ben Ali and Mubarak also said the same thing and they relented. We attentuation 50 years and we can wait, but the end of absolute monarchy is already there. As regards the revolt of the Arab world, we can say that no geo-politician, none, No one had foreseen. Everyone was wrong.

-Is it time for a revolt of women too?

-Tunisia is a pioneer in women's liberation. In Morocco, King has developed a current status of women since it eliminates many restrictions, eg on marriage. On paper, everything is perfect, but the problem is that we do not have an independent judiciary, by cons we have a high illiteracy rate. Over 56% of the population is illiterate, rural years it reaches 92%. You can have the best text of the world, but when applying it does not work. The solution will be a democratization of Morocco. I do not know how long it will take, but it will be the solution. The king appoints the prime minister. We can vote, but the King may appoint a person who was not elected and it happened several times. And we must say that Islamism is a component of our society, but it must be given a bad vision, there are radical Islamists and a very important part of Islamists who are not radicals.

- You plan to open a new digital journal. Did you not afraid of further reprisals?

- I'm like a virus, to force him to inject antibiotics it is resistant to antibiotics. For 15 years, they crush us, at some point you feel nothing.

- How do you assess the state of journalism in our country?

- Here is more or less the same. I guess there's also censorship and self-censorship. And then there are the salaries, there journalists earn more.

tinctions evidently stem partly in Morocco: A red line crossed

Thousands of Moroccans took part Sunday in protests in many cities of Morocco claim extensive political reforms, including limiting the powers of the king, who should, according to claims " Rule and not govern. " The magnitude of these events, which took place in calm, lifts the veil on the severity of the crisis brewing in a country that Western politicians and media have consistently presented as a haven of peace and who would exception to the anger that runs through virtually the entire Arab world. In Rabat according to independent sources, about 15,000 demonstrators gathered before marching through a major artery in the center chanting "The people want change!" or denounced the corruption that is ravaging all parts of the plan. Major events bring together thousands of people also occurred in most major Moroccan cities, including Casablanca, Tangier and Marrakech. In the aftermath of Tunisia and Egypt, young Moroccans were launched on Facebook movement "of 20 February," calling for peaceful demonstrations to demand a new constitution, including limiting the powers of the king, and social justice. The call for demonstrations "peaceful" was then taken up or supported by NGOs and by the youth organization of the Islamic association Al adl or El Jassan, Sheikh Yassin, the movement is not recognized but tolerated and considered the One of the largest in Morocco. Spokeswoman Association, the daughter of the leader of the movement, who had defied Hassan II, calling into question their status as Commander of the Faithful, Nadia Yassine has continued to warn against a social explosion in Morocco and had not excludes a radical change, even the advent of the Republic in Morocco. It is significant that Saturday protesters attacked a police station and a French company near Tangier in the Rif, the birthplace of the legendary ancestral Abdelkrim and revolts against the Moroccan monarchy.

Of the three red lines, King, Western Sahara and Islam, the skills of the king has just been taken, making this event a historical event. Left-wing groups demanded "Less power to the monarchy", and some banners proclaiming: "The king should reign and not rule" or "The people want a new constitution." Prince Moulay Hicham, a cousin of the king, who supported the protests, has also spoken to a parliamentary monarchy in Morocco, like the English and British monarchies. In Rabat, where the police showed discrete, Brahim Dahl Abu, a teacher of 52 years, said he had come to demand a constitution "more democratic". "We need to expand the powers of the Prime Minister to be responsible before the people, "he said. A 20 year old student, Aisha, said to have come to demonstrate against corruption and for an" improvement of living conditions "in this country where inequalities are still very strong and youth unemployment high. The main political parties including Moroccan Istiqlal, Prime Minister Abbas El Fassi and unconditionally support the monarchy and the continued occupation of Western Sahara, had voted against the call for protests. Morocco until to now been spared by the protests that toppled regimes in Tunisia and Egypt and have now spread to other Arab countries including Libya, Yemen and Bahrain, among others.

demonstrations of solidarity with the Moroccan people were held Sunday in Paris, Madrid and Brussels.

Morocco: Nothing will be like before

Yesterday, 20 February, a new flame was born in Morocco. That of freedom and dignity. The overwhelming response of the Moroccan population in the notice is a warning to the king and the Moroccan government. Nothing will be as before. The fear has been conquered and slaughtered taboos. A red lines, the king's powers, has been crossed. The people demand a new constitution where powers are not concentrated in the palace but in the hands of elected people.

With these events, the people will also kill the myth of the external enemy, Algeria and the Polisario, who served for over 35 years to muzzle the Moroccan society to maintain the so-called "national consensus for the territorial integrity ", with the annexation of Western Sahara as an excuse.

Saturday, the official news agency MAP and all the Moroccan press had announced that the event has been canceled. In vain. Now, nothing will deter the Moroccan people thirsting for freedom and democracy. These same Media try to remain important in the demonstration of related figures who are far from reality. They talk about hundreds of thousands as they were in the main cities of Morocco. The videos on Youtube leave no doubt. Morocco to really reconciliation with Algeria?

Its foreign minister has launched in the direction of Algiers: "Forget the past "- Morocco really want reconciliation with Algeria?

Despite the failure of previous attempts to reconnect with Algiers, the head of the Moroccan diplomacy is returned to the charge Tuesday's launch towards the Algerian authorities "forget the past", after accusing Algeria and the Polisario Front to destabilize Morocco, using the events that shook the Arab world.

Is this a sincere desire for reconciliation and a new maneuver in order to gain more time on the issue of Western Sahara, which Rabat dread new tensions in times of popular uprisings shook the world Arabic? The question worth asking, because before calling Algeria to forget the past, the head of the Moroccan diplomacy said that Algeria and the Polisario Front could use the popular uprisings that shook several countries in the Arab world to stir up unrest in the disputed region.

"The enemies of our territorial integrity will probably use the events in the Arab world to showcase their program," said essentially the Moroccan Foreign Minister Taieb Fassi-Fihri, public television El Wow, adding that "the Polisario and Algeria are seeking to create unrest in the region." Immediately after, Fassi-Fihri changes its tune and urges Algeria to turn the page on the disputes of the past and focus on strengthening economic cooperation in the region. "Forget the past," he said toward the Algerian officials.

However, Rabat, fearing really popular demonstrations in response to calls broadcast on the Facebook social networking giant to a peaceful demonstration on Sunday in Rabat for political reforms in Morocco and the restoration of "the dignity of the Moroccan people," said Tuesday, speaking through its Prime Minister, Abbas El-Fassi, a series of measures to mitigate tension seen in several economic sectors. The latter indicated that 15 billion dirhams, or 1.4 billion euros will be invested in additional cash compensation of Morocco to address any price increase of essential commodities. These new funds will be added to the 17 billion dirhams under the Finance Act 2011 already invested in the fund.

In the same vein, the head of the Moroccan government said he informed the leaders of these parties to mobilize the government to address the grievances of the unemployed graduates in employment, noting that an effort will be made in this area to exceed what was achieved during the years 2008, 2009 and 2010. To recall, about a thousand unemployed graduates had shown last Thursday night in the Moroccan capital to demand their immediate integration into the civil service. Unemployed graduates, currently numbering 2,100, show regularly for several years in Rabat. The unemployment rate in Morocco has reached 9.1% in 2010, according to OHCHR Moroccan plan (HCP). That of young graduates is about 18%, it adds. As to social dialogue with trade unions and workers, Abbas El Fassi indicated that a ministerial committee is currently examining the complaints of the unions before the next meeting with the unions to find solutions to the items on the agenda.

Since early February, calls are made daily by young people on Facebook for political reforms in Morocco, the government's resignation, dissolution of Parliament and the restoration of "the dignity of the Moroccan people."

In response to these calls for peaceful protests, the spokesman Government's Communications Minister Khalid Naciri, stated that "citizens can freely express (...) as it takes place in full respect of vital interests" of the country.

Western Sahara, former English colony in North Africa, was annexed by Morocco in 1975, triggering a rebellion led by the Frente Polisario. A cease-fire was reached in 1991 under the auspices of the UN, but no political agreement between Rabat and the separatists has been found. Rabat offers autonomy to the Sahara under Moroccan sovereignty. The Polisario wants a referendum to be option of independence for the region.

The Arab world was dizzy. Since that day in Sidi Bouzid, a small town in Tunisia, a vegetable merchant in his injured right plunges into despair and himself on fire outside the town hall on the corner, the breath of anger and discontent shared by entire populations continues unabated. Two months already! Tunisia at first, then Egypt will have borne the brunt of this discontent Tide popular means to scrap outdated systems that no longer serve, and long, nor to aspirations of their people than the overall evolution of the world.

Yemen, the first, practically committee with Egypt has suffered and continues to make this sling and "step back" of a president in power for over three decades seem not having the desired effect. Worse, the days go by and regularly bring their share of protests, arrests and injuries.

Iran too, and have been celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of the Islamic Revolution led by Imam Khomeini, is no exception to this "rule", even if populated by Persian and Shi'ite Muslim majority. Things there are suddenly worsened in the last three days in several large cities and the opposition to President Ahmadinejad was quickly transformed, first by challenging and questioning the supreme authority in Iran, one that is called the real power, the higher clergy chiiite. Meaning that it is neither more nor less than a profound change in which at least part of the current opposition seeks.

More surprising still is the case of Bahrain, where protests, although small in scale, have already been recorded. Further evidence that the wind of revolt that shook the Arab countries is a phenomenon quite new, the events that since yesterday's shake Libya irremovable Guide of the Revolution Muammar Kadhafi.

Morocco, he is preparing for a day of protests for 20 current and Rabat has already set the tone by accusing our country and the Frente Polisario to be the real instigators. Thereby indicating at least blindness, this pseudo argument hackneyed the external enemy, that Benali and Mubarak. Young Iraqis are not left out the ones who took advantage of Valentine's Day for "making fun" of their leaders.

So many countries with different political systems, traditions of struggle without great depth or real popular base, but that show, failing to prove that the concerns and realities have changed dramatically over the last two decades. First in that it is now very difficult to make any assumptions about the abilities of different Islamist movements to retrieve movements of young people who aspire to more freedom and democracy. Then in that whole Arab youth is everywhere in the majority. Finally, in that the youth knows, albeit in the most spontaneous, use and develop, like the Internet and Facebook, new and innovative ways to fight. Appellant made further responses from across regimes in place.

Moroccan journalists for freedom

winds of freedom blowing through the region of North Africa and the Middle East. A revolution in which people rose up to recover their freedom and their dignity and regain their destiny in hand. The victorious revolution of the people of Tunisia and Egypt have raised awareness to the street's appeal to strip out the dictatorships of open air prisons that have become countries of the region. Never

freedom and victory of our people has been so close! It is for these reasons that we as freelance journalists from Morocco, the signatories of this statement, congratulate the peoples of Egypt and Tunisia for their victory against dictatorship and autocracy, and in particular our colleagues who have regained their freedom of speech and expression and the press, and recall that the repression of freedoms for democracy, is always on the agenda of power in Morocco.

Facing the deafening silence of the National Union of the Moroccan press (SNPM), the undersigned, Moroccan journalists, proclaim our unqualified support to the claims of the movement of 20 February that we will join the street demonstrations that day.

Thus, we stand with all democratic forces in Morocco who advocate the establishment of genuine democracy and a break with authoritarianism Makhzen.

Moreover, we denounce the campaign of defamation and denigration against the youth movement on 20 February by the pro-government media and the Internet.

Thus, we demand:

• To allow the Moroccan and foreign journalists to do their job of reporting and monitoring of events ahead.

• Respect for the right to information for all components of Moroccan society.

• An immediate end to media manipulation undertaken by public television, the Agency official and pro-government newspapers. We

intellectuals also urge the country to take a position so that the democratic demands of the Moroccan people to be accompanied.

Youth of Al Adl Wal Ihsan part in protests February 20, 2011

The time of oppression and despotism has lasted too long in our beloved Morocco, there is corruption spread to encompass all political, social and economic. The people of Morocco buckling under the burden of poverty, unemployment and marginalization. The corrupt continue to enrich and accumulate fortunes at the expense of the necessities required by the dignity of the average Moroccan: education in crisis, a health malaise, price and brand-found work.

Neither successive calls to the recovery, nor did the warning been heeded, preferring the power to ignore and continue to destroy the country, to despise the people and the marginalized, to perpetuate the reign of individual arbitrariness. The government does not govern, the parliament does not legislate, the court does not decide in favor of the law, which strengthens the feeling of disappointment and despair in all segments of the Moroccan people, rich and poor.

This congestion and social policy demands the solidarity of all the free consciences of our people to stop the bleeding that endangers our country, putting aside any consideration ideological and political, and that the interest of the homeland is our meeting point.
Therefore, we, Children of Al Adl Wal Ihsan:

• Call to participate and support all initiatives aimed at building the state of freedom, dignity and justice, including protests of February 20, 2011;

• insist on the peaceful nature of our participation and call on everyone to be vigilant against any provocation that could occur;

• Let us assume for the Moroccan government liable for harm to the Moroccan people's right to peaceful protest;

• warn against any incitement to the separation, starting from some Moroccan exception to the awakening of the Arab peoples and their attempt to emancipate themselves from the yoke of injustice.

The Arab revolt, Moroccans swirl [1]

" My first surprise was how little time is needed for this power (propaganda), the most pernicious of State for create a fixed opinion, even if it goes completely against the ideas and aspirations of the most real and most certain of the community. Within days, the press knows, a little ridiculous detail, to a matter of state of large importance, and vice versa, in such a short time, she drops in neglect of the vital problems to completely remove the thought and remembrance of the people " [ Adolph Hitler - Mein Kampf]

I returned from the demonstration in support of Egyptian people, it was moving! It's turn now to then follow Algeria from Libya and Syria! It's great to see and Moroccans united with the rest of the Arab peoples against dictatorship and injustice despite the distance!
I do not doubt it! Moroccans are activists in the soul. Solidarity with all oppressed, they are the first to take to the streets to show their support (or on their facebook wall for the less athletic) the Palestinians, Iraqis, Tunisians, Egyptians .. They demonstrated a selfless legendary, they never claim anything for them! To believe that all is well at home and that Morocco is the exception economic-policy in the Arab world! What altruism and what people copy. We will support them all without exception, deeply it farts that Moroccans elsewhere to bear them out!
You're never satisfied, always criticizing every initiative! Now demonstrate international solidarity becomes ironic for you! And yes the people of Morocco is an exception and history proves it!
You do not listen. This is the paradox, the policy of the ostrich and passivity vis-à-vis local yards that I criticize. And then when people demonstrate outside the parliament of their country, to claim rights to the government and not who sits for Peace in Palestine, Iraq or to topple the Egyptian president! This would require molded zeri3a to use its influence with the Minister of the pistons when you work for a competition. To my knowledge no demonstration of solidarity has been very useful to people overseas, they can only feel good. Otherwise Palestine is already free from the time that our activists are organizing their circuits Sunday .. And what an idea down protest in the streets of Morocco against Injustice in the Middle East without denouncing that which prevails here!
Otherwise to be an exception, I can only agree and without making a fuss. We are 35 million sheep grazing in the meadow in North West Africa, and at the time of a match the team National Football we get 35 million coaches who analyze the wrong strategic choices of the person who occupies the position officially. Logical revolutions that at 35 million Arab we become experts in geopolitics. Go ahead and I'll explain the revolution of Tunisia and Morocco, how it is not Egypt and how our benefactor King is surrounded by evil.
In one week, everyone started to make videos to go with his brothers and sisters from Morocco, which he has just discovered its existence. So I still made the effort to see everything: the clubber fashion victim who has never opened a book of history but thinks he is Muhammad Hussein Haykal, which explains that the monarchy reigns Morocco for centuries and, therefore, that this is how we must therefore stay at home Feb. 20 (lol) to buttons, to be a celebrity, playing behind his revolutionary web cam and m explains that, instead, spitting on the clan Al Fassi, held responsible for all the ills of Moroccans, and this during the last 50 years (lol, lol) through the Moroccan immigrant in eastern Europe, probably informed by the KGB, who explains that the Polisario is who is behind the social and political claims of February 20 (lol, lol , lol), and Ze Ze last but not least, the rebel with the poster of Lady Gaga on his bedroom wall at home, who said that the King has already made the revolution of Jasmin but that we are ungrateful (lol , lol, lol, lol) In short, a bunch of reactionary taking preservationists monarchical and just discovered they had citizens who do not share the opinion Makhzen imposed by the situation in Morocco. Others 'wise', are for the weight, they are neither for nor against, for they are with democracy (read: m3a Rab7). They have that "Postures" but no clear vision, no social project as they have neither historical nor political culture .. And above the rest, There are those who live Valentine's Day, those who warn of the Moroccan "" bid3at lmawlid Nabawi "and then those who play Cityville and Farmville. Basically the local market, there are only fools the King of Fools of God and fucks shit la .. and then always idiots, for the quota.
Since you talk about what happens locally, let's talk! This is the 5th time you ignored my invitation to put the picture of Her Majesty profile pic on your facebook account! My friend, time is around the social cohesion of our monarchy p o show our loyalty to the throne and send a message clair aux ennemis de notre Nation !
Then your argument is a Hollywood fiction! There is no serious external threat that should concern Morocco. The threat is internal, and the oligarchy in power knows it. This internal threat is you, me, us: the Moroccan youth, the lifeblood of this country that could, if she wakes up to revolutionize the current state (of things).
But Algeria, the Polisario Spain waiting for this kind of talk to destabilize our country! In fact they are the ones who hide behind the events planned here! These young brainless who are calling for protest handled!
You forgot Iran and the Shia threat, and then Al Jazeera, too! I thought this propaganda for years Makhzen lead softened but all our youth, who wakes up from hibernation abstentionist desired and maintained, is largely devastated. At the time, any claim serious, demanding a change therefore who do not stroked in the direction of the hair was necessarily a heretic, she could not hide the envy and jealousy of the machinations of the conspirators. Thus all the opponents were accused by the Power of drafts or collaborators. If they criticized the system that they necessarily had a passport or neighbor were manipulated by the envious of our "stability". Today we offer the same antediluvian soup and tightens our youth, by "patriotism": "Do not claim your rights if Algeria, the Polisario, Spain and the aliens will attack us!" Must be frankly stupid to see any logic. Just a minimum interest in politics to understand that it is not in the interests of Spain that the Moroccan regime falters, since Morocco is the bulwark of Europe. Algeria has its own chores to settle with his people who has the same claims as ours and therefore the stability of neighbor is protective, we would feed a revolution in a revolt among them. And the Polisario saw its archaic organization, twenty days is sufficient for our military to eradicate as it has done throughout history! Know that your very expensive real enemy is not what you might order you to hate and fight but rather one that takes advantage of the conflict created. Ask yourself then who will take advantage that nothing moves in Morocco and you will discover your enemy.
Who are you talking about?
The ruling oligarchy. They fear more for the stability of their economic interests for the stability of Morocco. The majority have dual nationality (French, Canadian .. depending on where they were educated) and will be ready to leave the country when the people will realize the hold-up. Currently the international media are speculating on the fate of Morocco, he will not follow or Tunisia and Egypt. This impacts heavily on foreign investors and tour operators, for whom stability is key allies. And as our political leaders are mostly shareholders partnership agreements they sign with our name, they know that a popular revolt, which would entail disinvestment of foreign portfolios, not ruin our fragile economy, but rather their alluring business.
But we must not fall into the trap! Certainly there are problems here, but Morocco is neither Tunisia nor Egypt! We did not awaken the Tunisian or Egyptian citizenship! A revolution in our will be a disaster!
Already, all revolutions are disasters. It is history that teaches us. But humans have no choice, when injustice becomes a "stability" boasted he revolts by reflex.
Then the trap is not there. The real trap you're well inside. Oligarchy that defends its interests, and for that, hope that nothing changes here. They go directly into the coffers of the State without the people having their demands accountability, which is why they repeat everywhere that Morocco is the most beautiful country in the world. Mob rule that organizes all this propaganda media for planned events are dépopularisées, encouraging young people to demonstrate not "against" what is happening here, but rather "against" those who demand this change officially. To anticipate and counter any legitimate claim, these gluttons are appealing to the patriotism of Moroccans, asking them to rally around their king, to be called to send a clear message to all enemies of the Nation, than with us there will be no uprisings that brought down Ben Ali and Mubarak "because we love our King." And to spread their propaganda among Moroccan youth, they infiltrate his means of communication, mostly Internet and its social networks (Facebook, Tweeter, ..) via the youth of the tractor, and especially The Young Democrats Moroccans - a band of revelers reconverted into politics to take over, since the latter became a family business with us. In this I agree: Morocco and Tunisia is not Egypt. It does not censor it infiltrates. It does not cut it spread its cancerous cells. That's why the Moroccan intelligence have international rival that of the Mossad.
That said, I firmly believe that the specificities of each nation, we are neither Tunisia nor Egypt of course, is why we must lead our revolution by taking into account our context. But it is ludicrous to deny that we have the same economic and political machinery that led to the same miseries, causing uprisings there. It must be gullible to believe that Morocco will except, that is why it is necessary to open the debate on the national stage about some sensitive issues so far (the monarchy, the constitution, politicians flirting with the world of business, distribution of wealth ..) before coming to the riots.
But we do not like Tunisia and Egypt, our King has popular support, not a tyrant like Ben Ali and Mubarak! And then the monarchy in Morocco been there for centuries! A revolt among us will lead to chaos!
You're limited, you do not listen. This is neither the problem nor its solution. I'll try to get everyone in agreement: Neither the Tunisian example, neither Egyptian nor Cuban or Russian is applicable in Morocco. A mass uprising pushed only by the ras-le-bol (legitimate) can have very unfortunate consequences. Morocco needs political stability that guarantees the monarchy because of the large heterogeneity of its clannish society still and tribal in its majority.
Now that we have toured the evidence, we might talk about sensitive subjects? These vital debates on topics considered taboo and our oligarchy seeks to abort by diverting attention from the young to the wrong issues, into believing that the monarchy is in danger, creating disunity popular, where we insult each other and hit it - each thought to be the true patriot. Judging on their discussions, it is almost a civil war between all these young rude and politically virgins.
But in Morocco is different and complicated! What revolut ion Will be done with 60% of illiterates? A people who are not accustomed to freedom, if it gets too will be anarchy! A people who can not even stand in line, throwing his garbage on the ground, which does not respect the highway code! There is a small fringe that is able to adapt if it becomes a democracy. All minority and elitist attempts are doomed to failure !
And yet it is the engine that is supposed to pull the cars. Throughout history, the art changes have been initiated by elites. When change is instigated by the masses it leads to violent uprisings, anarchic and pests. Anger is destructive and deaf, it hurts when you listen more, no more thought. It is the reptilian brain that takes over. And this is not the organization of events that will lead to chaos, but the opposite: if we do not move, if the educated youth and the intellectual elite does not take the controls of a peaceful revolution, we will go straight into chaos as the masses are actually outburst.
Then you describe this illiteracy as a barrier to change is the very reason why we must end the current system, because "illiteracy" is a policy of state that allows it to continue and justify the paternalism of Power, which not ask the opinion of the people - the ignorant immature - on matters concerning him.
Otherwise, Moroccan blame their lack of citizenship (queuing ,..), criticize it as someone who never ate not know how to behave at the table or not to use the knife and fork. This same ideology repugnant that wants us to believe that the rape victim has his share of responsibility. And the Moroccan people is a victim of organized rape, deprived of their most basic rights - only guarantee of development citizenship - he is accused misfortunes infliction. It is in this sordid game as fun as our oligarchy and repeats parrot a sizeable chunk of Moroccan youth. Faced with the claims, the Authority initially pointed the finger at the government and political parties, wanting them to take the blame alone, but as the arguments were not strong enough, now they tell us to blame the people themselves who do not deserve their most basic rights.
That said, despite his lack of etiquette, you can not blame the people of Morocco a total lack of civility. Ras-le-bol is there, the anger is there and yet the claims have always been peaceful. Just go take a look at our parliament to realize that lack of citizenship is rather on the side of authorities dealing with protesters like cattle who were accused of human aspirations and that "corrected" with a stick.
Then, we can not defend Democracy and dare say that there are people who do not deserve or are not yet "prepared". What intellectual skills and what schools must do to have the right to education, health care and the right to express his opinion? What qualifications are entitled to a dignified life, where one is not compelled to reach out to the generous souls or lick the boots of "blue blood" to feed his family? What "preparedness" must have for the wealth of the country benefit all and stop being stolen?
Democracy is not the establishment of a republic, not voting in elections. Democracy is not the will of the majority. It is too simplistic. Democracy is a deeper concept is the guarantee of fundamental rights to all citizens, the sovereign power (the ability to change things) entrusted to all men ("without qualities") in contrast other forms of governance that says to a minority ("To qualities") on the criteria of birth (aristocracy), wealth (plutocracy) or aptitude (technocracy). The sumptuous blend of these three poisons, as we have in Morocco, leads inevitably to an oligarchy that uses the power to serve.
Finally, I'd go back to people not accustomed to the freedoms and the risk of anarchy if it receives "too much". What freedoms have we not in Morocco? We have all the freedoms, from racism to consumerism: You have the right to entertain you, zouk, get drunk, stoned you, maim you, maintain your ignorance, staying out late or not returning at all, stop your studies, you get into the business be false or vendor guide you into the sea hoping to join the European Eldorado, pray where you want to have faith or not, your parents disown, criticize the government, chanting the Koran in the bus or challenge question his divinity, insulting Jews, Christians and bearded, abuse and the Moroccan government to make fun of God .. As long as you do not touch the only thing sacred Morocco: the monarchy. So what is this excess of liberty that Moroccans may not be able to manage?
This freedom of expression which you complain is elitist, it does not affect the poor people who have called instead their most basic rights: to have income, shelter and access to care!
This is not true. It's a luxury to discuss policy. The proletarian has neither the time nor the inclination to do so after his hard day's work paid cheap! But you must know that everything is connected: if the poor masses have no access to basic rights is to blame politics. Policy that seeks only to enrich themselves and do not do the work entrusted to it has been accountable to anyone, since the elite with an interest in politics does not the right to criticize.
Political freedom - and a fortiori freedom of the press connected thereto, are the backbone of civilization: they have a power cons may terminate policies if they deviate from the purpose for which they have been mandated: to serve the public interest. Political change is the only guarantee of improving the economic situation of the population.
Also, revolutions are not revolutions of the digestive tract but revolutions gray matter. Hunger leads to rebellion and riot, from oppression to freedom and revolution.
This is not a secondary claim, especially when you see the misery that leads to absolute power as is the case in the Arab world. And Morocco, which would be so "different" and "complicated" by you, is unfortunately not the exception.
is no time for fake debates: the problem is not the existence of the monarchy but the absolute power of monarchy. The problem is not the manifestation of February 20 and promiscuous young people who organize it, but the disunity of the Moroccan youth who is mistaken for enemy.
How long will we continue to meet their propaganda to pseudopatriotique instead of demanding accountability? we finally understand that they ask us to place your right hand on his heart and left hello at the front is better for us to continue to the pockets ..
